Goodbye, and Sweet Dreams

I'm going to cut straight to the chase with no excuses, I will not be posting for quite sometime, not until I have sorted myself and my priorities out. I am utterly disappointed with myself and quite frankly.. Regretful. I feel like I've let both myself and Miik's down.
When I began this blog I had so many hopes and visions of what it would end up like, and yes I know, nothing comes easy, but whilst running this blog, I felt it was like a chore of mine and I wasn't enjoying it.
So after a while of thinking and some home truths, I decided that it would be best to concentrate my efforts elsewhere (college work primarily)

I will come back one day and finish what I started. One day. But until then I wish everybody good luck in whatever you intend to achieve, whether it be projects, exams, careers, relationships or life. Hell, I know I need it.
All the best, JunkiPie

Churro Love.

Before today I'd never had a Churro. They were always something that I'd wanted to try but since I live in England, they're pretty unheard of and/or nobody sells them around where I live, so when I saw the teeny stand down one street in the Christmas Fayre I literally JUMPED (and squealed) at the chance to have some!!
A possible theory?

Reminderrrr!!!

*Sorry, again, for not having updated the blog for a pretty long time.. but college as taken over our lives (as Junkie has said previously) and we hardly  have any private/social life & when I finally have some time to spare... 'BOOOOOM' cold+fever hit me and made me a miserable human being...   .Painful.

So again, sorry. But to let you know we have both sat down 'after college 'in a cafe' and formally  discussed how we are going to manage these blogs, and from what we have planned so far... pfffooaaar it'll be good. I promise.* ;D

QUICK UPDATE :

Don't give up hope. Please?

This is an overdue update to the blog.
For sometime both Miik's and I have been feeling that the blog isn't as good as it could be, and not quite how we envisioned it. We have been trying to solve this by designing backgrounds, titles and general layouts, but since we are in college we don't have much time to actually put effort into either blogs.
So I ask you all now.. Can you hang on and be patient for us? Please?

I personally promise both blogs will be pretty darn good when we've got some spare time, and even then we won't be satisfied and we'll keep pushing to make them better.

Japanday + K-drama cheesyness.

Hello Guys,

I sincerely apologise for not having posted for quite a while.. so sorry ._.,
but the past two weeks have been a downside for me, and my psychotic mother didn't make things easier. (You'll learn more about her if you follow this blog, but i'll tell you now... she's one scary ass woman). And yeah i've also been getting caught up in some depressing shizz, whilst listening to a new song released October 14 - Tablo - Airbag feat. 나얼(Naul)
 Another korean song I recommend.
I've been living in the dark side.       But ch'yea, i'm over it :)
        -Soo, getting down for business..

Coincidently, October 14th is in play again.
An ordinary Friday night after college and the usual friday stroll down town with Junkie,  I got back home thinking "What a stressful week, finally it's the week-end!" *yaaaaay*. The next thing I heard was my Psycho mom yelling "Hurry and pack your bag, we're off to Germany in 2 hours"

                LIKE WHAAAT :0

Seriously,I lost my trail of thoughts at that moment! Yeah I guess I should have been HAPPY, not everyone gets to go to germany randomly, but the amount of work I had to do was just, *pfffoaaaarrr*  indescribable. Much of a nice weekend I had coming there...
                                     .......... in the CAARRR!

SO, let me tell you about my trip to Düsseldorf, Germany, home sweet home :D

October 15th was the 150th year Japan-Germany friendship anniversary, which lead Düsseldorf to celebrate the day, having a typical Japanese food stands, a Fashion and Cosplay Catwalk and the highlight of the day , of course the Japanese Fireworks.

Once I met up with my old friends we were just browsing around the city lining up for one hour to get bubble tea & literally everywhere we looked, there were just TONNES of people cosplaying (dressing up as their favourite manga/ anime/ cartoon character).

To help you imagine the scenes, I have some picctureees ^^

Woohoo Death Note 'Ryuk'!!

Junkie & I should totally try making some of these costumes! :O

Do you see the crazyness of JAPANDAY??!

Hold on! This isn't the end ;D    To top of the aweshome day,

'From underneath the trees, we watch the sky
Confusing stars for satellites, I never dreamed that you'd be mine
But here we are, we're here tonight'

... snuggled up with my dearest friends in the freezing cold, me linking arms with my first love, watching the b-e-a-utiful Japanese Fireworks...

[This is where I got the post title from, because the situation I was in was EXACTLY like in a korean melow drama, so cheeeeesy that you'd get goosebumps]

'but still life couldn't have been better' >.<

Well that's what I thought... unitl I got back home sunday night, where 3 essays were waiting to be written for the next day...

P.S. : This is not all from this mini week-end trip, in a few days I shall write another post, which will include :

  • Some more news about the trip to Düsseldorf
  • Certain shops I visited + Food I brought back
  • Junk+Miiks recent Nail designs
  • A music review (not k-pop)
Please, please, please come around again pretty soon for some more news :D
SInce Junkie gave you guys her twitter, I might as well hand over mine, @3DMelonFry

London: Knitting and Stitching Show 2011

On Thursday, Miiks and myself went to the Knitting and Stitching Show in Alexandra Palace in London with our college textile's class, so we could gain inspiration for our course :)
During our short but condensed time we spent there, we *had* to discover 4 artist's we liked enough to write about and use in our sketchbooks..

It was a lot harder than it sounds. -__-

As you can imagine with a KNITTING show there were literally loads of old ladies and I'm not exactly the most patient person in the world, so they were (ever-so-slightly) irritating, which made some of the aisles impossible to pass through without walking into half of them. Didn't help that their faces were at elbow height either. :|

Also, Miiks and I are both quite picky over artist's work so a lot of time was spent thinking "No, no, no, no, OOH I LIKE!!!, No, no, no..." and so on xD

After finally managing to find art that we liked, we had to go through the laborious process of waiting (for old biddies') and asking the artist whether we could take a picture of their work or not. Ja, Kinda boring I know, so I got told off a few times for taking photo's... My bad!! :L
Due to this reason, I don't think i'll be putting any artist's work on here...

Whilst walking around the place, Miiks kept getting super excited. Over felt. :L
Funny at first, but then after a while of her going "FEEEELLLT!!" and hitting my arm, she started getting static shocks xD

JunkiPie 1 - 0 MiikiPoo

Quite near the end, we were just waddling around and BAMM we come across Gilda Baron's stall, THE ACTUAL Gilda Baron was there too! (Miiks was a bit more excited than me >_<)

I think the only downside's of the day was the sheer amount of old ladies and unfortunately the prices of which the craft stuff was selling at. Bummer.

.. So here are some generic image's of the day

My knitting looked like noodles
The main entrance :)
Beautiful bunting just inside!
I <3'ed this giant scarf!!
Miiks had a go at hand made felt balling :D
Very pretty ..
I really like the colours in this picture!!
I'm really liking patchwork at the moment :)

Overall, the show was pretty good and worth the 4 hour trip down :) Currently the show is continuing until the 9th of october, but if that's impossible for you then check out Twisted Thread's website for 2012 shows HERE!!

(unsure of which images come from which stall's so if there's a problem with ownership etc, email me and credit will be given or images taken off the blog)

new,New,NEW!

YO! How ya'll doin'?
I got a few things I need to inform everyone about so please bare with me ;D
So.. first of all, if you have read the Diary of a UWO you’d know that I bought a new Barry M ‘silver foil effect nail varnish’ the other day… well I painted my nails so if you’d like to see, here are some pictures..

My dad got carried away, taking pictures & I didn’t know which one to put up so there you go 2 pictures :S (In the pictures you see me use two colours, one Barry M silver foil effect & black is a cheap number 17 nail varnish, surprisingly good) :D

So up next is a Korean Drama called 'City Hunter' which I TOTALLY recommend people to watch! It is a KICK ASS Drama! Well as long as you're into action and Melo/cheesy'nes aswell as being okey with not understanding korean. BUT don't worry you can watch it online for free with english subs ;D

[quick summary : The story takes place in Seoul, 2011. Lee Yoon Sung is a talented MIT-graduate who works on the international communications team in the Blue House. He plans revenge on five politicians who caused his father’s death with his surrogate father Lee Jin Pyo and eventually becomes a “City Hunter.”]

(If anyone is interested in watching it, please leave a comment & I'll send you a link of the website) :)

*Phhooaarr* Even if your not actually interested in the Drama it's always worth watching, just to see the handsome main character 'Lee Min Ho as Lee Yoon Sung' (Dribble worthy) ;)

(Which reminds me of the time Junkie another friend & I went to watch Pirates of the Caribbean, and every time Johnny Depp/ Jack Sparrow appeared on screen you could just hear me scream *BEAUTIFULL*) *_*

BUT anyway.. If there's anyone who has watched it, leave comments as to which was your favourite episode and just any other random shizz! ou could also just write if you have watched it so I know i'm not the only one. I'd be so happy to find others who i can chat to,about this Drama^^ (It's because I have no other friends) *Jokes

I bet my slippers are cooler than yours :P
Carrying on...

I have NEW SLIPPERS ^^ *Yaaaay* Are you excited? :D  ... no... maybe not... ._. Well wait until you see >.-
